The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Nasarawa State has arrested a man named Hussaini Shuaibu, often called “Abati.” He is suspected of being a serial rapist who allegedly attacked five young children in different areas of the state.

The arrest happened after local residents grew concerned and provided information to the authorities. Based on these reports, NSCDC officers tracked Shuaibu down and took him into custody to face the allegations.

Early investigations by the NSCDC suggest that the suspect targeted vulnerable children at various times and locations. The command’s spokesperson, Jerry Victor, confirmed that the evidence gathered so far prompted the formal arrest.

State Commandant Brah Samson Umoru strongly condemned the suspect’s actions, calling them a serious violation of children’s rights. He promised that the case would be thoroughly investigated and that the suspect would be prosecuted to ensure justice is served.

The NSCDC urged parents and community leaders to stay alert and report any suspicious behavior. They also encouraged victims to come forward, promising them protection and support while emphasizing their commitment to keeping the public safe.
