Senate President Godswill Akpabio has hailed the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the most Christian-friendly government in Nigeria’s history. Speaking through his media aide, Jackson Udom, Akpabio claimed the President’s actions prove he treats both Christians and Muslims with equal respect and fairness.

During the event, Akpabio congratulated Governor Caleb Mutfwang for aligning Plateau State with the “center of national politics.” He assured the Governor that the Federal Government is committed to ending insecurity in the state and providing multi-sectoral support to improve the lives of its citizens.

The Senate President further noted that the recent political shifts have brought all states in the North Central zone into the ruling party’s fold. He emphasized that the government remains dedicated to protecting all Nigerians, regardless of their religious beliefs or affiliations.

To address the humanitarian crisis, Akpabio pledged that the National Assembly would support the President by approving necessary funds to close all IDP camps across the nation. This move is intended to provide permanent stability for displaced citizens.

In response, Governor Mutfwang described the move as a landmark shift by the people of Plateau to publicly support the APC and President Tinubu’s 2027 ambitions. He noted that the journey aims to achieve the unity and peace that the state’s founding fathers had long envisioned.
